Cynda has been playing keyboards and singing her whole life, but didn’t venture away from her classical training until the early ‘90s when she played with different bands that only occasionally had gigs outside the basement! All that changed in 1998 when she filled in as a vocalist for the band "Area Code 608" and got that bug to play in a working band! So - in 1999 she joined "Chromeline ‘59" as a keyboard player and vocalist. Cynda was one of the founding members of the group the "Rockin’ Royals" and now is a founding member and manager for  "The Comeback Special". Cynda also performs and runs sound for the "Tony Rocker Show" and she occasionally fills in on keys for the "Mystery Train" Elvis Tribute Band out of Milwaukee.   0

Larry Allen  won his first talent contest when he was 16 and has loved playing drums ever since. Larry also did a tour of Europe with the New College Singers, played in too many musicals to mention, played with Johnny Trouble and Johnny and the Rockers (is there a pattern here) and appeared on Urban Theater with his original band Lithium Lounge. When asked about his vintage drum collection Larry replied" one drum is too many and ten is never enough."

Frank Adamo brings a wealth of music knowledge and experience, playing keys, bass and vocals for a host of top shelf bands, most recently, Quest.  Frank has been in the business for a lot of years, and has a natural setlist in his head.  His musical tastes run the gambit...although his love for Elvis has taken a special turn with the ComeBack Special.  Frank calls the Madison area home.

Jim Szymanski has been playing guitar in bands for the last twenty-five years. His earliest effort was with a light jazz quintet playing 40's standards .......that involved a lot of chord work but not much lead.

Jim then got in with several country bands playing lead guitar for "classic country" (50's and 60's). The last ten years Jim was with two rockabilly bands and then in the Elvis tribute band Mystery Train.

Jim enjoys playing both the plectrum and thumb-pick styles. Jim rounds out his interest in guitars by both building custom amplifiers and modifying existing tube amplifiers.

Jeff King is the try anything guy on rhythm guitar, keyboards, saxophone, trumpet, lead & background vocals and whatever he needs to do to make the show a success.  He started playing guitar at age 6 as an Elvis enthusiast and that transformed into many years of entertaining with bands such as, Whiskey River Bandits, First Class, Catch-A-Wave, and currently performing for the 20th year with Skyrock.  The Comeback Special is an opportunity to do the music that started his love of music and to entertain music diehards to the root of it all.  His motto is live every minute of every day to it’s fullest and tell everyone you love them, because you might not get a second chance.
