Are you looking for a band that plays well known songs from the '50-'70s, call about The Comeback Special. The band is available on days they are not backing Tony. Check the Song List page for a list of songs performed by the band. ETA's "The Comeback Special" band is available to back other ETAs when the band is not backing Tony Rocker. The band has backed ETAs that include: John Van Thiel, Jesse Aron, GL Wesley, Curt Lechner, Fred Heidemann, Chris Solono and others. Rocker was born in Milwaukee, WI and now lives in Cottage Grove, WI.
Tony has been an Elvis fan all of his life, inspired by his mother’s
love for the King. He has been performing on a regular basis since
the 1980’s playing and singing in various bands that specialize in
music from the ‘50s-‘70s. Tony started out playing guitar and later
switched to drums as well as lead singer in several bands. He
always sang Elvis songs with these bands, and started performing as
an Elvis Tribute Artist in the summer of 2002. In 2009 Tony Placed 3rd at The Legends In Concert Ultimate Elvis Contest along with 2nd Place at the Elvis Extravaganza at the Wisconsin State Fair. Also a finalist in 2008 at the Elvis Explosion in LaCrosse. In January of 2004, Tony won 3rd place at the "Midwest Tribute to the King Contest" in Springfield, IL and he took 3rd place at the Isle of Capri's "Tribute to a King" contest in November 2005 in Bettendorf, IA. Tony has also been a finalist in the Isle of Capri Marquette, IA contests in 2002, 2004 and 2005. In January 2006 and January 2007 Tony placed 3rd at the Potawatomi "Tribute to the King" contest in Milwaukee. I Tony has appeared on several Wisconsin TV News programs including WKOW ABC Channel 27-Madison, WMTV NBC Channel 15-Madison, WEAU NBC Channel 13-Eau Claire, WAOU ABC Channel 9- Wausau FOX Channel 6 in Milwaukee and WISC Channel 3 in Madison. He has been interviewed for several newspaper articles and has had his photo appear in several publications in the Midwest, including for the Children's Miracle Network in 2005. Tony also has done several radio Tony keeps a very busy schedule doing his shows because of his love of performing for the fans! Tony's shows are truly a tribute to the King, performed with respect, dedication and admiration for the greatest rock and roll singer of all.
